Gavarnie Falls, Spanish Pyrenees - gouache and ink painting
This painting started off as a sketch that I drew whilst sitting outside Hotel d'Gavarnie and then I finished it off in the studio a few weeks later. The one thing I wanted to get across was the cloudy conditions that were rolling in. the Pyrenees are not always hot! I was also inspired by the paintings of local artist Amalry.
