Ullswater from Gowbarrow Fell, Lake District - watercolour painting
In October 2025 I spent 4 days walking in the Lake District. This particular walk can be rather busy with tourists but I did it in the the anticlockwise direction taking the more boggy route. The day was in fact rather over cast but when the sun did come out the light reflecting on Ullswater looked very beautiful. After my walk I sat down in the pub and painted with my newly acquired tinted charcoal paints from the the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick.
